Pupils thrive on praise and celebration of their work. When they have made that extra effort to complete a piece of work, why should they not look for confirmation from their teacher/school that their efforts were worthwhile? It’s what spurs us all on to move to the next step and challenge ourselves to do better.
Displaying pupils’ work has, sadly, lost its importance – teachers have too many pressures on them and displaying work is something that has been pushed down the to-do list; completely understandable.
But… what an effective way to show pupils that their work means something, that it has merit and enhances the school environment! Visitors can see what has been achieved, parents can proudly comment on their child’s work and pupils can enjoy the acclaim and commendation.
So how can you achieve this in your school?
The support that reason2believe can provide is design, produce and arrange displays that are child-centred, promote reflection and contemplation through art and teach art skills. We can work on a theme, share your school’s vision and values or simply promote a curriculum area. You may need something for special days such as World Book Day or Black History Month. Anything is possible!
All we need is a workspace, some art resources (we do have an array of our own), a display area you wish to enrich and the pupils! We have the personnel to lead sessions, display the work and arrange the display effectively.
We can improve a classroom, a reception area, shared spaces – anywhere where there is a display board waiting for us! We do not rely on computer-generated pictures and acknowledge the need for appropriate fonts and backgrounds for all to access the amazing work your pupils can produce.
If this is something you are interested in, please get in touch.
